COUNCIL BILL NO. 1912
RESOLUTION NO. 1501
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING JURISDICTION OVER A CERTAIN PORTION OF
ARNEY ROAD IF MARION COUNTY AGREES TO SURRENDER JURISDICTION OF
SAID ROAD.
WHEREAS, this matter is before the City Council at a public meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City has received written request to accept jurisdiction of a certain
portion of Arney Road so that vacation and rededication procedures, in conjunction with the
Woodburn Company Stores development, can occur; and
WHEREAS, the City deems it necessary and beneficial to accept the jurisdiction of that
portion of Arney Road as identified on Exhibit "N'; and
WHEREAS, the portion of Arney Road, identified in Exhibit" N', is within the corporate
boundary of the City of Woodburn; and
WHEREAS, Marion County indicates that it will take action, through its County Board,
to surrender jurisdiction of that portion of Arney Road as identified in Exhibit "A"; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Woodburn hereby agrees to accept the jurisdiction of that portion of
Arney Road as described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, if
Marion County takes action, pursuant to OR 373.270, to surrender said jurisdiction of said road.
