RESOLUTION NO. 1505
A RESOLUTION RESTRICTING THE INTERSECTION OF LAWSON AVENUE WITH STATE
HIGHWAY 214 TO RIGHT IN AND RIGHT OUT TURNING MOVEMENTS ONLY.
WHEREAS, Subject to State Laws, the city council shall exercise all municipal traffic
authority for the city except for those powers specifically and expressly delegated by
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, The city council, as road authority for its own streets may restrict turns
in accordance with ORS 810.310, and
WHEREAS, The road authority for the intersecting highway where turn restrictions
are to be placed on a city street is the Oregon Department of Transportation, and
WHEREAS, The city council has directed that necessary steps be taken to restrict
turn movements at the intersection of Lawson Avenue with State Highway 214 to right
in/right out only, and
WHEREAS, The intersection will require specific modifications to implement the turn
restriction, NOW THEREFORE;
THE CITY OF WOODBURN RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the intersection of Lawson Avenue with State Highway 214 be
modified to restrict turning movements to right in/right out only.
Section 2. That the necessary approval for this modification be obtained from the
Oregon Department of Transportation.

RESOLUTION NO. 1504
A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO GRANT AGREEMENT NO: 16563 WITH THE STATE
OF OREGON AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN SUCH AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the State of Oregon acting through the Oregon Transportation
Commission is authorized to enter into agreements and disburse funds for the purpose
of supporting public transportation pursuant to ORS 184.670 to 184.733, and
WHEREAS, the City of Woodburn has applied for public transportation capital
assistance funds for Fiscal Year 1998-99 under Title 49, United States Code, Chapter
53 and
WHEREAS, the State of Oregon, Department of Transportation, has been
designated to evaluate and select recipients of assistance and to coordinate grant
application, and
WHEREAS, the State of Oregon, Department of Transportation, has approved
the city application for $40,000 to provide 80% of the cost of a capital purchase to
be used in support of public transportation, NOW THEREFORE;
THE CITY OF WOODBURN RESOLVES AS FOllOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Woodburn enter into Grant Agreement No: 16563,
which is affixed as Attachment "An and by this reference incorporated herein, with
the State of Oregon acting by and through its Department of Transportation to secure
Federal funds through Title 49, United States Code, Chapter 53 for the purpose of
supporting publiC transportation.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Woodburn is authorized to sign said
agreement on behalf of the City.
