Ord 2222 - Amend Ord 2057 Trans COUNCll. BILL NO. 1913 ORDINANCE NO. 2222 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2057 (THE TRANSffiNT OCCUPANCY TAX ORDINANCE) RELATED TO THE DISPOSmON OF TAX FUNDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, in 1991 the City enacted a transient occupancy tax ordinance; and WHEREAS, a provision of said ordinance required that an annual amount not exceeding $4,000 be transferred to the Woodburn Chamber of Commerce to support tourism; and WHEREAS, the Woodburn Budget Committee and City Council budgeted the sum of $8,000 in the fisca1l998-99 budget to assist the Chamber of Commerce in tourist related activities; and WHEREAS, the City Council entered into a Fund Contribution Agreement with the Chamber of Commerce obligating $8,000 to the Chamber to facilitate the promotion of tourism; NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 23 of Ordinance No. 2057 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 23. Disposition of Tn Funds. All revenue received from the transient occupancy tax shall be accounted for by a special line item account commonly referred to as "Hotel Tax,". Section 2.
