Ord 2180 - Amend Ord 1638 Ani Cn COUNCIL BILL NO. 1751 ORDINANCE NO. 2180 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1638 (THE ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE) TO MODIFY THE DEFINITION OF AN ANIMAL RUNNING AT LARGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 (3), Ordinance No. 1638 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. (3) Running at Large. An animal is "running at large" when the animal is not on the owner's property or controlled by the use of a leash. The term "running at large" does not include the use of a dog under the supervision of a person to control or protect livestock or in other related agricultural activities or the use of a dog by law enforcement personnel. Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
