Ord 2074 - Amend Ord 1790 Sewage COUNCIL BILL NO. 1358 ORDINANCE NO. 2074 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1790 (THE SEWAGE DISCHARGE ORDINANCE) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, current federal regulations permit discharge of waste having a pH from 6.0 to 10.0, and WHEREAS, the applicable city ordinance should be amended to conform to these regulations, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3(b)(6) is amended to read as follows: Any wastes, waste waters or substances having a pH less than 6.0 or more than 10.0, or having any other corrosive property capable of causing damage or hazard to piping, structures, equipment, or personnel of the sewerage systems. This includes, but is not limited to, battery or plating acids and waste, copper sulfate, chromium salts and compounds, or salt brine. Section 2.
