COUNCIL BILL NO. 1449
ORDINANCE NO. 2101
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1993 OREGON MECHANICAL SPECIALTY CODE,
AS ESTABLISHED BY THE STATE OF OREGON, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1997,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the State of Oregon has, by administrative rule, adopted the 1991
edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code and the 1991 edition of the Uniform Building
Code Standards, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and
the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, with errata through
December 24, 1992, as amended by the Building Codes Agency, and has designated
this document the Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code, and
WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the City to adopt the Oregon Mechanical
Specialty Code so that the most current version of the code can be applied within city
boundaries, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The 1993 Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code, as adopted by the
State of Oregon, is hereby adopted by the city and, by this reference incorporated
herein.
Section 2. A copy of the code is available for review at the City during regular
business hours.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 1997 is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace, health and safety, and emergency is declared to exist and this
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by
the Mayor.
