The current tenant (Cox Electric) will be vacating the property in May 2019 at which time the Applicant will be placing the property on the market for lease. Prior to leasing the building to a new tenant, there are improvements needed, including repairs to the roof. Therefore, the Applicant has submitted aProgram application for exterior improvements for the 290 Young Streetproperty for your consideration. PROPOSAL: The Applicant has requested Program assistance to complete the exterior roof improvements for the building and has submitted the required documents and multiple roof bids to support theapplication. DARS reviewed application and determined that the scope of the project meets the criteria outlined in the guidelines. The proposalwill complement theexisting surroundingcommunity. Making repairs and improvements to the propertywill enhance the overall appeal of downtown Woodburn and provide economic opportunities to future tenants and to the property owner.
