ROLL CALL Mayor Figley Present Councilor Carney Present Councilor Lonergan Present Councilor Schaub Present Councilor Morris Present Councilor Ellsworth Present Councilor Alonso Leon Present Staff Present: City Administrator Derickson, City Attorney Shields, Police Chief Russell, Police Captain Garrett, Public Works Director Scott, Assistant City Administrator Row, Human Resources Director Hereford, Finance Director Head, Economic and Development Director Hendryx, Accounting Manager Ellerbrook, Sr. Management Analyst Moore, Communications Coordinator Horton, City Recorder Pierson COMMUNITY/GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS Anthony Veliz of the Woodburn Downtown Association thanked the Kiwanis for supporting the downtown beautification project. Mr. Veliz announced that the Woodburn Downtown Association received a $5,000 grant from Oregon Community Organization, they have been awarded an Americorp volunteer, and that they are participating in the Fiesta Mexicana by working with the Fiesta Mexicana Court. Mayor Figley declared the hearing open at 7:10 p.m. for the purpose of hearing public input on State Revenue Sharing. Finance Director Head provided a staff report. Mayor Figley asked if anyone from the public would like to speak on this subject. No members of the public wished to speak in either support or opposition of State Revenue Sharing. Mayor Figley declared the hearing closed at 7:10 p.m. FY 2015-2016 Approved Budget A Public Hearing to consider input on the FY 2015-2016 Approved Budget. Mayor Figley declared the hearing open at 7:11 p.m. for the purpose of hearing public input on the FY 2015-2016 Approved Budget. City Administrator Derickson provided a staff report. Mayor Figley declared the hearing closed at 7:15 p.m. COUNCIL BILL NO. 2981 - A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 BUDGET; MAKING BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS; AND CATEGORIZING TAXES Lonergan introduced Council Bill No. 2981. Recorder Pierson read the bill by title only since there were no objections from the Council. On roll call vote for final passage, the bill passed unanimously. Mayor Figley declared Council Bill No. 2981 duly passed. COUNCIL BILL NO. 2982 - A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY OF WOODBURN'S ELECTION TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUE SHARING Lonergan introduced Council Bill No. 2982. Recorder Pierson read the bill by title only since there were no objections from the Council. On roll call vote for final passage, the bill passed unanimously. Mayor Figley declared Council Bill No. 2982 duly passed. COUNCIL BILL NO. 2983 - A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING SERVICES FOR STATE REVENUE SHARING Lonergan introduced Council Bill No. 2983. Recorder Pierson read the bill by title only since there were no objections from the Council. On roll call vote for final passage, the bill passed unanimously. Mayor Figley declared Council Bill No. 2983 duly passed. 002 CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT The City Administrator announced that the June 22 meeting will take place at Woodburn Estates and Golf and that ODOT will be giving an update on the Interchange project. MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORTS Councilor Alonso Leon recognized Pat Hyatt and other volunteers for their work on educating people on the school bond. She added that she attended the second annual migrant student recognition award ceremony and was pleased to see Councilor Carney there as well. Mayor Figley offered congratulations on the passage of the school bond for those that worked very hard on it. She also congratulated the Class of 2015. She also thanked Chief Russell and Captain Garrett for being terrific cops and terrific human beings. Councilor Ellsworth invited citizens to Relay for Life at Centennial Park on July 10th & 11th Councilor Schaub thanked Captain Garrett and Chief Russell for always being so attentive to the Woodburn Estates community and that she is very happy for them.
