000 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please join us for the 51 st annual Fiesta Mexicana at Legion Park on August 2 & 3. The
event will highlight authentic Mexican food, music and entertainment, coronation of the
court, a soccer tournament, parade, and kid's activities.

Marta Trinidad provided a presentation on the Fiesta Mexicana Court and introduced
Fiesta princesses: Mirtha Arellano, Amelia Robles, Maricela Vidal, and Celiflora Gaspar.
Mayor Figley thanked them for their help with the Bassett Hound games. Councilor
Ellsworth thanked them for their help with the Centennial Park project and the Relay for
Life.

McCallum /Cox... adopt the Consent Agenda. The motion passed unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing to consider the City of Woodburn's 2014 -15 Supplemental Budget
Request. Mayor Figley declared the hearing open at 7:13 p.m. for the purpose of hearing
public input on the City's 2014 -15 Supplemental Budget Request. Finance Director Head
provided a staff report. Community Services Director Row provided information on the
Legion Park project improvements and why the supplemental budget is necessary. No

members of the public wished to speak in either support or opposition of the 2014 -15
Supplemental Budget Request. Mayor Figley declared the hearing closed at 7:30 p.m.
REGARDING PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS
McCallum introduced Council Bill No. 2964. Recorder Pierson read the two readings of
the bill by title only since there were no objections from the Council. On roll call vote for
final passage, the bill passed unanimously. Mayor Figley declared Council Bill No. 2964
duly passed.
0:27 COUNCIL BILL NO. 2965 -A RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSFERS OF FY
2014 -2015 APPROPRIATIONS AND APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
McCallum introduced Council Bill No. 2965. Recorder Pierson read the bill by title only
since there were no objections from the Council. On roll call vote for final passage, the
bill passed unanimously. Mayor Figley declared Council Bill No. 2965 duly passed.
0:28 AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE LEGION PARK
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, BID NO 2015 -01
Cox/Alouso Leon... City Council, acting in its capacity as the Local Contract Review
Board, award the construction contract for the Legion Park Improvements Project, Bid No.
2015 -01 to Nomarco, Inc. in the amount of $487,730.50. The motion passed unanimously.

Council declined to call this item up for review.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
City Administrator Derickson stated that Fiesta is this weekend and he hopes to see
everyone there.
MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORTS
Councilor Alonso Leon stated that she is looking forward to seeing everyone at the parade
and that she will be dressed up in a traditional costume.
Councilor Ellsworth asked who is going to be on the fire truck and Mayor Figley
answered that all Councilors are invited to ride on the fire truck.
Councilor Cox stated that he plans to attend Fiesta and added that he has decided not to
run for re- election.
Mayor Figley thanked Councilor Cox for the many things he has done for the City.
Councilor Morris told Councilor Cox that he appreciates his service and thanked Fiesta for
being a good neighbor.
Councilor McCallum stated that he would like to congratulate Councilor Cox and will be
proud to leave the bench with him.
