The Ordinance was draftedat the request of the City EXHIBIT A Council and forwarded to City Councilors for review on June 13, 2014. Because of the number of decisions that must be made by the City Council itself (see below), the Draft Ordinance was crafted in a very basic form so that it could serve as the basis for a policy discussion. Councilor McCallum stated the Republic Service’s was one of the first sponsors of Relay for Life. Mayor Figley wished everyone a safe and happy fourth and stated that she hopes people will attend Relay for Life. Councilor Ellsworth stated that Relay for Lifewill beaccepting donations of cans of food to place in the luminaries andafter the event theydonate the food to local groups.
