Res 2030 - 2013-2014 BudgetCOUNCIL BILL NO. 2931 RESOLUTION NO. 2030 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 -2014 BUDGET; MAKING BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS; CATEGORIZING TAXES AND ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 -2014 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN WHEREAS, the City Administrator, as Budget Officer, prepared and submitted the Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 Budget to the Budget Committee at its May 11, 2013 meeting; and WHEREAS, the May 11, 2013 Budget Committee meeting was noticed by publication in the Woodburn Independent newspaper on May 1, 2013; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at the May 11, 2013 Budget Committee meeting; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Budget Hearing and Financial Summary were published in the Woodburn Independent newspaper on May 29, 2013 as required by ORS 294.438; and WHEREAS, a second public hearing was held before the City Council at its meeting on June 10, 2013; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF WOODBURN RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council adopts the budget for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 in the sum of $70,629,826. A copy of the budget document is now on file at City Hall, 270 Montgomery Street, Woodburn, Oregon. Section 2. The amounts for the Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 are hereby appropriated as follows: 49,715 Council & Mayor 403.895 Administration 736,413 City Recorder 174,195 City Attorney 1,834,282 Finance 56,931 Human Resources 170,121 Court 8,068,480 Police 1,148.562 Library 505,723 Recreation Page 1— COUNCIL BILL NO. 2931 RESOLUTION NO. 2030 Section 3. The City Council imposes the taxes provided for in the adopted budget at the rate of $6.0534 per $1,000 of assessed value for operations and in the aggregate amount of $550,000 for bonds. These taxes are hereby imposed and categorized for tax year 2013 -14 based upon assessed value of all taxable property within the City. General Government Excluded from Limitation General Government $6.0534/$1,000 - Public Safety Debt Service - $550,000 Section 4. The City Council adopts the City of Woodburn Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014. A copy of the CIP document is on file at City Hall, 270 Montgomery Street, Woodburn, Oregon.
