Ord 2504-Repeal Museum CommitteeCOUNCIL BILL NO. 2924 ORDINANCE NO. 2504 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 2254 (CREATING A MUSEUM COMMITTEE) AS PART OF THE ORDINANCE REVIEW /REVISION PROJECT INITIATED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Ordinance 2254 created a Museum Committee to assist the City Administrator and City Council on matters pertaining to the Woodburn Museum; and WHEREAS, historically, Woodburn was one of many municipalities that established citizen advisory boards for this purpose; and WHEREAS, the Museum Committee was an advisory board that has not been active for some time and is not presently needed by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has the power and authority to reestablish the Museum Committee if it is needed in the future; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance 2254 is repealed. Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety so any modifications made by the City Council initiated Ordinance Review /Revision Project can be implemented without delay, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Mayor.
