Ord 1635COUNCIL BILL. NO. 465 ORDINANCE N0. 1635 AN ORDINANCE Ar~IENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1591, KNOWN AS THE SIGN ORDINANCE, BY ORDAINING CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY SIGNS. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURN DO ORDAIN: Section 1. Section 2, subsection I., of Ordinance Nv. 1591 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: I. Te~-~porary Sign. deans and includes any sign, banner, pennant, valance or advertising display which is con- structed with the intention of not being permanently placed and attached to a building or ground. Section 2. Section 8 of Ordinance No. 1591 be, and the same is hereby amended to re~.d as follows: Section 8. Permit Fees., Every applicant before being granted a permit hereunder shall pay the City of Woodburn a fee of $10.00 for each such sign or other advertising structures to be constructed, structually altered or re- located. There shall b~ no permit or fee required for temporary signs, unless ,otherwise provided in this ordinance. ' Section 3. Section; 17, subsection B., of Ordinance No. 1591 be, and the same is hereby amended by adding a new subpart 4, to read as follows': 4. Except as provided in this subsection, no temporary sign shall project nor extend into any vision clearance area prescribed by zany provision of this or other ordinances. Howeve!,r, a temporary sign may be located in a vision clearan'ice area or in a required setback area if the sign is!,no higher than three (3) feet as pleasured from the driveway grade to the top of the sign if the sign is!,located adjacent to a driveway; three ( 3 ~ f eet measjured from the road grade to the top of the sign if the sign is located adjacent to a roadway. Temporary signs as defined in this ordinance. Section 5. Section 26, subsections D., E., and G. of Ordinance No. 1591 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: D. No temporary signs shall be located in any prescribed vision clearance area, except as provided in Section 17, subsection B., subpart 4., of this ordinance. E. Height of temporary signs is limited to six (6) feet. G. Temporary signs are limited to one sign per driveway per business, or one sign per business whichever is greater; in the case of shopping centers, one sign per driveway. BURRIS, Recorder of the City of Woodburn, do hereby certify that T caused to be posted three copies of Ordinance No. 1635, one of which said copies posted a.n the City Hall on the bulletin board adjacent to the entrance to the Recorder's Office, in full view of the traveling public; a second one of said copies posted on the Woodburn Public Library bulletin board at 280 Garfield Street, in full view of the traveling public; a third one of said copies posted on the Community Center bulletin board at 491 N.
