ORDINANCE N0. 1643
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF THE
HIGHWAY 214 "S" CURVE IN THE CITY OF WOODBURN FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (RS) TO COMMERCIAL OFFICE DISTRICT (CO); AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Woodburn Zoning Ordinance and the Woodburn
Zoning Map made pursuant to said ordinance have heretofore established
certain use zones or districts within the City of Woodburn; and
WHEREAS, zone change proceedings have heretofore been
had before the Woodburn Planning Commission and the Common Council
in accordance with Chapter 16 of the Woodburn Zoning Ordinance;
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Woodburn
deems this reclassification to be in the public interest and to be
in satisfaction of a general public need; now, therefore,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURN DO ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the following described property within
the City of Woodburn, Marion County, State of Oregon, is hereby
reclassified from Single Family Residential District (RS) to Com-
mercial Office District (CO):
Beginning at the Northeast corner of A. DuBois D.L.C.
No. 98 which is the intersection of Oregon State Highway
214 and Cascade Drive; thence North on an extension of
the center line of Cascade Drive to the South line of
Senior Estates Add. No. 6; thence East along the above
mentioned line to its intersection with the West line of
Lot 14, Block 1, Woodburn Senior Estates; thence South
along the West line of Block 1, and extension South of this
line to the South line of B. F. Hall D.L.C. No. 77; thence
West on the Westerly extension of the South line of the B. F.
Hall D.L.C. No. 77 to the center line of Cascade Drive;
thence North along the center line of Cascade Drive to
the point of beginning; situ~:~ted in Section 12, Township 5
South, Range 2 West of the Willamette Meridian, Marion
County, Oregon.

Section 2. That the City Administrator is hereby directed
to correct the Woodburn Zoning Map to the reclassification herein
made.
Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an
emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
