COUNCIL BILL No, 503 ORDINANCE N0, 1660 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1978-79, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, ORS 294.480 of the Local Budget Law provides that a municipal corporation may make a supplemental budget for the fiscal year for which the regular budget has been prepared, under certain circumstances, provided such supplemental budget does not extend beyond the end of the fiscal year during which it is submitted, and provided no increased tax levy sha11 be made, and WHEREAS, said statute provides that among-the circumstances authorizing the preparation of a supplemental budget is the unanticipated availability of funds from another unit of federal, state, or local government, and WHEREAS, the adoption of such supplemental budget will not require any further or increased tax levy and shall not extend beyond the end of the fiscal year during which i t is submitted, and WHEREAS, proceedings and publications have heretofore been had and made as required by said statute, now, therefore, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURN DO ORDAIN: Section 1. That the suppl ementa1 budget for the fiscal year 1978-79, prepared by the Budget Officer, accorded a public hearing on March 8, 1979, and approved by the Budget Committee; first published March 21, 1979 and last published March 28, 1979, and accorded a public hearing on April 9, 1919, is hereby adopted.
