ORDINANCE NO. 1687
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN AGREEMENT WITH MARION COUNTY TO BE KNOWN AS THE
URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY RECORDER TO SIGN
SUCH AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Woodburn has experienced and will continue
to experience significant growth in terms of population and land utilization,
which growth must be regulated to insure orderly and logical Geographical
development, and
WHEREAS, the regulation of urban growth is deemed to be necessary
to preserve the desirability of Woodburn as an attractive, convenient and
pleasant place in which to live; now, therefore
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURN DO ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Woodburn enter into an aqreement with
Marion County, marked "Exhibit A" and attached hereto.
Section 2. That the Mayor and City Recorder of the City of Woodburn
may sign the agreement "Exhibit All on behalf of the City.
Section 3. That a copy of the Woodburn Growth Boundary be, and
the same is directed to be maintained at the office of the City Recorder.

hereby certify that I caused to be posted three copies of
Ordihace No. 1687, one of which said copies posted in the
City Hall on the bulletin board adjacent to the entrance to
the Recorder's Office, in full vier of the traveling public;
a second one of said popies posted on the Woodburn. public
Library bulletin board at 280 Garfield Street, in full view
of the traveling pudic; a third one of said copies posted
on the Coity Center, bulletin board at 491 N. Third St.
in full view of the traveling public; that all of said places
are public places within the corporate limits of the City
