ORDINANCE N0. 1708
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DONATIONS AND GRANTS RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR
1979-80, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGE~JCY.
WHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statutes provide for the expenditure of
donations and grants transferred to a municipal corporation for specific
purposes in the year of receipt, and
WHEREAS, a donation has been received from the 6~~oodburn Men's
Softball League for the purpose of renovating the Settlemier Park ballfield,
a grant has been received from the Older Americans Act, Title III, for
the purpose of providing transportation services, and Comprehensive Employment
and Training grants have been received far the purpose of employing a
Library Assistant II and a Clerk I, now, therefore,

Section 1. That appropriations be established and increased as
follows:

Section 2. That the amounts delineated in Section 1 are hereby
authorized to be appropriated for their specific purpose.
Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, in that there is a
present need for the expenditure delineated in Section 1 and the expenditure
cannot be made until the appropriation is adopted, an emergency is declared
to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by
the Council and approval by the Mayor.

I, BARNEY 0. BURRIS, Recorder of the City of ~4loodburn, do
hereby certify that I caused to be posted three copies of
Ordinance No. 1708, one of which said copies were posted in
the City Hall on the bulletin board opposite the entrance to
the Recorder`s Office, in full view of the traveling public;
a second one of said copies posted on the Woodburn Public
Library bulletin board at 280 Garfield St., i.n fu11 view of
the traveling public; a third one of said copies posted on
th_e Community Center bulletin board at 491 N. Third St.,
in full view of the traveling public; that all of said places
are public places. within the corporate limits of the City of
Woodburn and all of said copies were posted on the lath
