Ord 1729COUNCIL BILL N0. 601 ORDINANCE N0. 1729 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1689, KNOWN AS THE WOODBURN GROWTH MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the purpose and intent of the Growth Management Ordinance is to protect the City against unexpected growth, protect the City against over taxing of its public facilities, and allow for proper planning of public capital improvement programs. THE PEOPLE OF THE CTTY OF WOODBURN DO HEREBY ORDAIN: Section 1. The Woodburn Common Council hereby adopts the amend- ments to the Woodburn Growth Management Ordinance as part of the official language for the City of Woodburn as identified in 'Exhibit A' attached to this ordinance. Section 2. One copy of the adopted amendments to the Woodburn Growth Management Ordinance shall be filed with the City Recorder and one copy shall be available for public inspection upon demand in the Planning Department, Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety] an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor. .~ ~ ~. ,, APPROVED: E. EXHIBIT "A" "(1) When the population of the City of Woodburn exceeds the following amounts in July of the following years,as determined by reasonably available data: Upon the determination of the City popu- lation, if it exceeds the population ppojection that year the City shall publish notice once in a newspaper of general circulation in the area and notify the regional coordinating agency that the Growth Management Ordinance is in effect."
