Ord 1734COUI~ICIL BILL N0, 607 ORDINANCE N0. 1734 AN ORDINANCE AMENllING ORDINANCE N0, 1689, KNOWN AS THE WOODBURN GROWTH MANAGEI~iENT ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN-EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the purpose and intent of the Growth l~ianagement Ordinance is to protect the city against unexpected growth, protect the city against over taxing of its public facilities, and allow for proper planning of public capital improvement programs, and WHEREAS, the amendment would adjust the housing densities to coincide with the densities as described in the City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance. TIE PEOPLE OF TIE CITE OF WOODBURN DO HEREBY ORDAIN: Section 1. That Section 5 Item 3 (a) and (b) of the Woodburn Growth Management Ordinance be amended to read: (a} Residential developments of 12 or, less dwelling units per acre. (b) Residential developments of more than 12 dwelling units per acre. Section 2. One copy of the adopted amendments to the Woodburn Growth Management Ordinance shall be filed with the City Recorder and one copy shall be available for public inspection upon demand in the Planning Department. Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser- vation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
