Ord 1740COUNCIL BILL N0. 614 ORDI~JANCE fd0. 1740 AN ORDINANCE ~,CCEPTIPJG DONATIDNS APJD GRANTS RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AfdD DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, I~JHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statutes provide for the expenditure of donations and grants transferred to a municipal corporation for specific purposes in the year of receipt, and ~JHEREAS, a donation has been received from '~Joodburn State Bank for the purpose of improving the microphone system in the Council Chambers, a grant from the Comprehensive Employment Training Act Title II) for the purpose of employing a Clerk I, and an additional federal grant for the Retired Senior volunteer Program to increase the volunteer service within the City, now, therefore, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF '~OODBURN DO ORDAIN: Section 1. That appropriations be established and increased as follows: PEVENUES General Fund CETA Grant $ 4,874 ~~oodburn State Bank Donation 500 Total General ~~und Federal Programs Fund: R.S.V.P. That the amounts delineated in Section 1 are hereby authorized to be appropriated for their specific purpose. Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health. and safety, in that there is a present need for the expenditures delineated in Section 1 and the expenditures cannot be made until the appropriations are adopted, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect imr~ediately upon passage by the Council and approval ~~ by the Mayor.
