AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTIES LOCATID WEST OF
~~AR~'T ROAD 11T0. 70 FROM 14'IARION COUNTY EFU (EXCLUSIVE FARI~~ USE) AND IL (LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL) TO WOODBURN CITY IL (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT).
WHEREAS, The Woodburn Comprehensive Plan ~,~ap made pursuant to said
ordinance has heretofore established certain use zone within the City of
Woodburn's Urban Growth Boundary; and
WJ[-~EREAS, annexation and zone change proceedings have heretofore been
had before the Woodburn Planning Commission and the Common Council in accord-
ante with ORS 222.120, 222.170 and 222.180 and Chapters 3 and 16 of the Wood-
burn Zoning Ordinance; and
~~i~EAS, the Common Council of the City of 4~'oodburn deems this classi-
ficiation to be in the public interest and to be in satisfaction of a general
public need and is in accord with the Comprehensive Plan; now, therefore,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURN DO ORDAIN:
Section 1. The following described property within the City of Wood-
burn's Urban Growth Boundary, Marion County, State of Oregon, is hereby annexed
and reclassified from r~Iarion County EFU (Exclusive Farm Use) and IL (Light In-
dustrial) to Woodburn City IL (Light Industrial District).
A tract of land situated in Sections 5 and 8, Township 5 South,
Range 1 West , tNillamette Meridian , ~.~arion County, State of Oregon ,
described as follows;
Beginning at a point on the tiYest line of the Jackson Cooley D.L.C.
No. 50 which is 338.36 feet, North 16° East from the North East
corner of the B.F. Hall D.L,C. No. 51; thence North 16° East 1897.72
feet; thence South 66° East 763.76 feet; thence North 13° 15' East,
parallel and 20 feet from the East line of the Jackson Cooley D.L.C.
No. 50, 586.08' feet; thence North 66° West, 722.18 feet to the North
West corner of the Jackson Cooley D.L.C. No. 50; thence South 16° West
73.92 feet; thence North 10° 40' East, 455.26 feet (~~eander line along
the ditch 469.92 feet more or less); thence South 88° 35' East, 1131.24
feet along; the South line of the P.M. Gleeson D.L.C. No. 49 to the re-
entrant corner of the South line; thence South 18° 36' West, 312.84 feet
to the Easterly S.W. corner of the P.P,~, Gleeson D.L,C. No. 49; thence
Easterly along the South line of the P.~,~, Gleeson D.L.C. No. 49,
1133.38 feet more or less to the East line of ~~~.rket Road 70; thence
Southerly along the East line of Market Road 70, 3705.68 feet more or
less; thence North 49° 05' ~+lest, 475.05' more or less to the point of
beginning.

Section 2. The City Administrator is hereby directed to correct
the Woodburn Zoning ~~ap and City Limit Boundary to the classification
and boundary chan~;e herein made.

I, BARNEY 0. BURRIS, Recorder for the City of Woodburn, Oregon, do
hereby certify that I caused to be posted three copies of
Ordinance No. 1783, one of which said copies posted in City Nall
on the bulletin board adjacent to the entrance to the Recorder's Office
in full view of the traveling public; a second one of said copies
posted on the Woodburn Public Library bulletin board at 284 Garfield
Street, in full view of the traveling public; a third one of said
copies posted on the Woodburn Community Center bulletin board at
491 N. Third St., in full view of the traveling public; that all
of said places are public places within the corporate limits of
the City of Woodburn and all of said copies were posted on the
15th day of July 1982.
