ORDINANCE N0. 1836
AN ORDIJ'JANCE ACCEPTING DONATIONS AND GRANTS RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR
1983-84, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
WHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statutes provide for the expenditure of
donations and grants transferred to a municipal corporation for specific
purposes in the year of receipt, and
WHEREAS, a grant from the Senior Services Agency and donations
from Dial-a-Ride program participants will be received throughout the
1983-84 fiscal year to provide transportation services to the elderly and
handicapped residents of the City, now, therefore,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOGJS:
Section 1. That appropriations be established and increased
as follows:
Federal Programs Fund: Dial-a-Ride Program
Federal Grant $ 4,648
Donations 3,000
Total Federal Programs Fund $ 7,648

Section 2. That the amounts delineated in Section 1 are hereby
authorized to be appropriated for their specific purpose.

Section 3. This ordinance being necessary far the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, in~that expenditures
for the program cannot be made until appropriations are adopted, an emergency
is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
