ORDINANCE N0. 1855
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1742 AND. .EXTENDING THE FRANCHISE PERIOD
OF THAT FRANCHISE GRANTED TO RANDY C. GARNER, DBA WOODBURN AMBULANCE AND
HEALTH CARE, ANO DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Council met on January 23, 1984 and considered the
question of whether to renew that franchise granted to Randy C. Garner, dba
Woodburn Ambulance and Health. Care, to operate an ambulance service in the
City of Woodburn, and
WHEREAS, the Council considered the favorable recor~nendation of
the City Administrator to continue that franchise, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1742 is'hereby repealed and
Ordinance No. 1742 is hereby amended to add anew section entitled Section 1,
which shall read as follows:
Section ,1. The City of Woodburn hereby grants unto
Woodburn Ambulance and Health Care, hereinafter referred to
as the "grantee", exclusive franchise, right and privilege,
subject to such modifications as are hereinafter set forth,
to operate an ambulance service within the corporate limits
of the City of Woodburn, as such limits now exist or may
hereafter be expanded, fora period of five. years, beginning
February 1, 1984.
Section ,2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist
and this ordinance shall take effect irr~ediately upon passage by the Council,
and approval by the Mayor.
