Ord 1868COUNCIL BILL No. 793 ORDINANCE No. 1868 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1826 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Woodburn Sign Ordinance made pursuant to said ordi- nance has established regulations on the placement of signs, and WHEREAS, this City Council of the City of Woodburn deems it neces- sary to amend the Sign Ordinance to amend certain sections: now, therefore THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1826 be amended to read: Section 24.6 - Off Prer~ises Advertising Signs shall be per- mitted in CG, ID or Industrial Zones only with the exception of off premise directional church and jurisdictional signs also allowed in the "R" zones. Placement standards for off premise directional church and jurisdictional signs on public rights of way shall meet the Public tiJorks standards with a sign fee based upon the actual cost of labor, materials and equipment, p1 us l0/ for engineer- ing and supervision. A maintenance fee shall be required for off premise directional signs that are on public rights of way that must be replaced due to damage or wear. Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
