ORDINANCE N0. 1881
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A DONATION RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1984-85,
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statutes provide for the expenditure of
donations transferred to a municipal corporation for specific purposes in
the year of receipt, and
WHEREAS, a donation from the ~loadburn Eagles No. 3284 Auxi 1 i ary
has been received for the purpose of purchasing large print library books
for the elderly and visually handicapped, now, therefore,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That appropriations be established and increased
for fiscal year 1984-85 as follows:
REVENUES
LIBRARY FUND:
Donation $200
Total Library Fund $200
TOTAL REVENUES $200
EXPENDITURES
LIBRARY FUND:
Materials & Services $200
Total Library Fund $200
TOTAL EXPENDITURES $200
Section 2. That the amounts outlined in Section l are hereby
authorized to be appropriated for their specific purpose.
Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the irr~ediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, in that expenditures
for the books cannot be made until appropriations are adopted, an emergency

is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
