Ord 1888COUNCIL BILL N0. ~~~~ ORDINANCE N0. 1888 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1727, RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of Woodburn is in the process of analyzing and compiling its city ordinances, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1727 constitutes the city ordinance on alcoholic liquor, and WHEREAS, the contents of Ordinance No. 1727 are addressed by ORS Chapters 471 and 472, and WHEREAS, ORS 471.990 and 472.990 give the Woodburn Municipal Court jurisdiction to hear violations of state liquor law or administrative regulation, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1727 is hereby specifically repealed. Section 2. Notwithstanding Section 1 of this Ordinance, Ordinance No. 1727 shall remain valid and in force for the purpose of authorizing the arrest, prosecution, conviction, and punishment of a person who violated Ordinance No. 1727 prior to the effective date of this ordinance. Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor, A roved as to form: ~ ~~ Z~ ~~~ rr City Attorney Date APPROVED • ~ ____ WILLIAM J.
