ORDINANCE No. 1890
The Recreation and Parks acquisition priorities have
been revised by pursuing the purchase of other Park-
land sites.
Historically the City's Zoning Maps have identified
the applicants property for Industrial use. No
evidence is available that would conclude the Plann-
ing Commission or City Council amended the Zoning
from Light Industrial to Parks and Open Space.
The Comprehensive Plan Map amendment would result in
additional lands being added to contiguous Industrial
designated properties in the Downtown area.
By excluding the applicants property from the Parkland
inventory there still exists sufficient land X22 acres)
to realize expansion if funds are available.
The Recreation and Parks Board has recommended the Open
Space and Parks designation be removed from the appli-
cants property.
