The Focus Group is a group of citizens who have met periodically to informally discuss and make recommendations regarding the WDO revisions. The Focus Group has now completed its review of Sections 4.1 and 5.1 of the WDO and recommends that these amendments be processed expeditiously instead of waiting for the entire WDO review process to be completed. The Focus Group believes that the simplified procedures proposed in the recommended amendments could stimulate development activity and would be a benefit to the City. The Focus Group will continue to review the other portions of the WDO. DISCUSSION: Section 4.101.17 of the WDO requires that the City Council initiate the consideration of any legislative amendments to the WDO by the passage of a resolution. The attached resolution initiates formal consideration of proposed amendments to the WDO.
