Whereas, Mr. Orlandini's commitment to the greater community has
resulted in strong annual support for ,the Woodburn Relay for Life, and
Whereas, Mr. Orlandini's guidance and encouragement has led to record
participation in the annual United Way campaigns, and
Whereas, Mr. Orlandini's concern for the health of his team and the
greater community called him to serve on the Wellspring Board of Directors,
and
Whereas, Mr. Orlandini is retiring from Do it Best Corp. on July 30, 2010,
and deserves a warm and appreciative farewell from the community he has
served so well,
Now therefore, I, Kathy Figley, Mayor of the City of Woodburn, proclaim
July 13, 2010, TONY ORLANDINI DAY. I encourage Woodburn's citizens to
join with me in thanking Tony for his outstanding service to our community
and in wishing him a bright and happy future.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2010
WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch is sponsoring a unique,
nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on Tuesday, August 3rd,
2010 entitled "National Night Out"; and
WHEREAS, the "27th Annual National Night Out" provides a unique opportunity
for the City of Woodburn to join forces with thousands of other communities across
the country in promoting cooperative police-community crime, drug and violence
prevention efforts; and
WHEREAS, all citizens of Woodburn play a vital role in assisting the Woodburn
Police Department through joint crime, drug and violence prevention efforts in
Woodburn and is supporting "Notional Night Out 2010" locally;
WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of the City of Woodburn be aware of
the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their
participation can have on reducing crime, drug abuse and violence in Woodburn;
and
WHEREAS, police-community partnerships and neighborhood safety and
awareness cooperation are important themes of the "National Night OuY' program;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MAYOR KATHY FIGLEY, do hereby call upon all citizens of
Woodburn tojoin the Woodburn Police Department and the National Association of
Town Watch in supporting the "27th Annual National Night Out" Tuesday, August 3~d,
