ORDINANCE N0. 1897
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 198485,
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statutes provide for the expenditure of
grants transferred to a municipal corporation for specific purposes in the
year of receipt, and
WHEREAS, a grant from the League of Oregon .Cities Employee Benefits
Services Insurance Trust has been received for the purpose of initiating an
employee health, fitness, and recreation program, now, therefore,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That appropriations be established and increased for
the fiscal year 1984-85 as follows:

Section 2. That the amounts outlined in Section l are hereby
authorized to be appropriated. for their specific purpose,

Section 3. This ordinance being necessary fo.r the immediate
preservation of .the public peace, health and safety, in that expenditures for
the program cannot be made until appropriations are adopted, an emergency
is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
