ORDINANCE N0. 1926
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1865 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1865 established a Citizens Review Commission,
and
WHEREAS, said Commission was duly appointed by the Mayor of the City
of Woodburn, and
WHEREAS, said Commission has met and recommended to the Woodburn
City Council that certain amendments be made in Ordinance No. 1865, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3, Ordinance No. 1865 is amended to read as
follows:
Section. 3. Composition. The Commission shall be made up of nine
members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Woodburn City
Council. The commissioners shall be representative of the Woodburn
population, including the Anglo, Russian, Mexican, and senior citizen
communities. The Commission shall elect a chairperson for a term
of one year.
Section 2. Section 6(A), Ordinance No. 1865, is amended to read
as follows:
Section 6. QUORUPI. A majority of the incumbent commissioners shall
constitute a quorum.
Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health, and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and
this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and
approval by the t~1ayor.
