ORDINANCE N0. 1940
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 1485 (ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE
CODE) AND DECLARING AN Eh1ERGENCY.
WHEREAS, an election was held on Plarch 27, 1984, which annexed
the City of Woodburn to the Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District for
fire protection purposes, and
WHEREAS, adoption and enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code is
the legal responsibility of the Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 1485 (adoption of the Uniform Fire Code)
is hereby repealed.
Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of public peace, health, and safety, an emergency is declared to
exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the
Council and approval by the Mayor.
