ORINANCE N0. 1941
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 1767 (DEFINING DUTIES OF THE WOODBURN
FIRE DEPARTMENT) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, an election was held on March 27, 1984, which annexed
the City of Woodburn to the Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District for
fire protection purposes, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1767 defines the duties and responsibilities
of the Woodburn Fire Department and has no legal effect, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 1767 (defining the duties of the Woodburn
Fire Department) is hereby repealed.
Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of public peace, health, and safety, an emergency is declared to
exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the
Council and approval by the Mayor.
