AN ORDINANCE A~'lENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1865 (CITIZENS RE'C7'IEW
COT~TISSION) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1865 established a Citizens
Review Commission, and
WHEREAS, said Commission was duly appointed by the
Mayor and approved by the Woodburn City Council, and
WHEREAS, it is desirous to allow flexibility in the
residency requirement for citizens interested in serving the
community, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF WOODBUl~N' ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3, Ordinance No. 1865, is amended
to read as follows:
Section 3. Composition. The Commission shall be made
up of nine (9) ~ernbers appointed by the Mayor and
approved by the Woodburn City Council, seven (7)
members shall reside within the city limits and two (2)
members may be r~:sidents outside of the city limits
but within the City°s Urban Growth Boundary. The
commissioners sha7.1 be representative of the Woodburn
populatian, including Anc~lo, Russian, Mexican, and
senior citizen communities. The Commission shall
elect a chairperso7z for a term of one year.
Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the public pc~ace, health and safety, an emergency
i.s declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upan passage by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
