Ord 2421 - Supplemental Budget COUNCIL BILL NO. 2668 ORDINANCE NO. 2421 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006 - 2007 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Oregon State Statute 294.480 allows for the adoption of a supplemental budget during a fiscal year to meet changes in financial planning, and WHEREAS, the Notice of Supplemental Budget Hearing and Financial Summary was published in the Woodburn Independent on June 6, 2007 as required under State budget law; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on June 11, 2007 to give citizens an opportunity to comment on the proposed 2006-2007 supplemental budget, now, therefore, THE CITY OF WOODBURN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the supplemental budget for fiscal year 2006-2007 is hereby adopted as set forth below. Section 2. That if any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or portion of this ordinance for any reason shall be adjudged invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section or portion of this ordinance directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment is rendered. Section 4. This ordinance being necessary for the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist in that appropriation adjustments are necessary to meet estimated expenditures that will need to be paid within the next 30 days and payment cannot be made until such time as appropriations are adopted by the Council and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor Approved as to Form;;)-JO~'-~~ LCOT City Attorney '--....
